2013 NAHJ Student Projects Application

The Excellence in Journalism Conference in Anaheim, California will be the largest gathering of journalists and media executives, a premiere networking conference where they assemble to discuss and debate the state of the news media and issues affecting the nation's Latino community.

Student Projects

A dozen aspiring journalists will work side by side with professionals and mentors to produce solid and innovative journalism primarily online in the Latino Reporter Digital. On the website, the students will primarily be covering the convention and other media-related and Latino community themes while learning and using the latest techniques in multimedia journalism. LatinoReporterDigital.com is seeking Web-savvy young journalists who can combine reporting and multimedia experience to cover the 2013 convention in a fast-paced newsroom.

LatinoReporterDigital.com will be the prime source of news and information about this gathering for convention participants and online users across the country and the world and it will be generated in English and Spanish by students in their roles as reporters, photographers, producers, and multimedia and backpack journalists. Applicants with experience in social media, video, photography and/or online reporting are highly encouraged to apply.
